"I am a fisherman on the MVF "Catherine R", and while
fishing at Rockall last week, a Short-eared Owl
landed on the boat. She stayed with us for a few days.
and left the boat as we were steaming ashore. The
black-backed gulls attacked it as it was getting dark.
The nearest bit of land to Rockall is Ireland, which is
280 miles away. We also had a "Dunlin" on board and it stayed with us until we got ashore."
