| An illustrated
Bird Talk entitled 'Birds of an Irish Winter' will be given by
Eric Dempsey, co-author of the new Finding
Birds in Ireland - The Complete Guide.
It will take
place at the Auditorium, The National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin,
Dublin, on Thursday, 8th November 2007 at 7.30pm. Admission is
free.
An exhibition
of many of the paintings from the book, by Michael O'Clery, will
be on display from 9.00pm in the Exhibition Hall upstairs. Copies
of the book, as well as many of the paintings from the book, will
be available to buy. Admission is free, and all are welcome. The
Exhibition runs from Thursday 8th November to Sunday 11th November
2007.

Biography
Eric
Dempsey is a professional bird guide,
broadcaster and writer who has published work on Ireland’s
birds in North America, Australia and Europe. Eric is also a team
member of the popular ‘Mooney’ show on Radio 1 and
has compiled and presented radio documentaries as well as making
numerous TV appearances. A much sought-after speaker, Eric hosts
workshops and presentations throughout Ireland.

Biography
Michael
O’Clery is one of Ireland’s best-known wildlife
artists with paintings and illustrations appearing in a variety
of books and journals worldwide. Over 600 of his paintings were
published in the best-selling Complete
Guide to Ireland's Birds and he has had several solo exhibitions.
He lives in County Kerry where he also documents the local birdlife
through bird reports and breeding bird surveys.
