Some personal recommendations...
From:

"During
a recent tour in Ireland our clients were privileged to spend
a day birdwatching with Eric Dempsey. The hours with Eric were
among the most pleasurable of the trip.
'He possesses
full knowledge of the birds, and is gifted with that Irish talent
of making strangers feel 'at home'. Eric Dempsey is a first rate
bird guide."
From:
Dave
& Priscilla Andre, Pennsylvania.
"We had only a few hours free to go birding during our one-week
trip to Ireland. Eric was available for us at that time, and well-prepared
and enthusiastic to show us as many birds as possible in that
time period.
'He kept
us hopping, and we loved every minute of it. He also was very
accommodating, in that he picked us up at one location, did all
the driving, provided the scopes and lots of information, and
returned us to our hotel, which was at a different location from
our pick-up point. What more could we ask for? Many thanks, Eric!"

"Our
BirdsIreland guide was wonderful. He was considerate, had planned
his itinerary according to my tentative want list and was really
great company. He was very knowledgeable about the birds of course,
with a good ear, and also about the habitats we were visiting
and also Irish history... and then there was the Corncrake!
'It was a
wonderful trip and I would recommend BirdsIreland to anyone without
hesitation. We really would like to return!"

"When
you have only three days in which to see the birds in and around
Dublin, having a good guide is indispensable. And that is exactly
what Fay and I found in Eric Dempsey of B.I.N.S.
'He not only
has a wealth of knowledge about the local birds but as importantly
he knows where to find them. The Corncrake on the banks of the
Shannon was typical of his knowledge and dedication.
'There was
never a dull moment during our three days; Eric had us racing
around lowland, mountain and sea cliffs in pursuit of birds with
personal highlights of Red Grouse, Hen Harrier, Corncrake and
Black Guillemot. In a word, with Eric the brief stopover was an
outstanding success; without his guidance we would have returned
with fewer sightings.
'Eric's knowledge
extends beyond birds! He directed us to the famous Book of Kells
and we gleaned much about Ireland's history and culture from him".

"Birding
with Eric is truly a most rewarding experience. I only had one
morning available to bird in Dublin, and Eric made sure that I
saw as many birds as possible in that short time. While having
to move quickly due to time constraints, Eric still ensured that
I got great scope views of all the birds sighted.
'As well
as Eric's tremendous knowledge of birds, his local knowledge of
Ireland is also fascinating. I would recommend Eric to anyone
who wishes to get the most out of their birding experience in
Ireland."
From:
Pat & Dave Russell, Minnesota.
"Eric had
the most marvellous hidden places to take us with wonderful birds
at the hands of an expert. It is always a treat not to have to
figure out first where to look and second what we were really
looking at."
From:
Hugh Fay, Dublin.
"My experience
with BirdsIreland is that they offer a unique birding service,
catering for both the complete beginner and the more experienced
birder. The leaders' technical knowledge is truly excellent, and
the information supplied on the trips can be fine-tuned to any
level of detail.
'Every effort
is spent on fulfilling birders' individual needs, such as a particular
target species. A very relaxed atmosphere is created on all the
outings, which leads to everyone feeling that they actually contribute,
and not just passively attend.
'For a fun,
exciting, educational, list-expanding birding experience, I could
not recommend them too strongly."
